Saturday, June 7, The Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) is holding its Third Annual Walk/Run to help raise funds to fight hunger.  The organization is supported by 47 churches in Baltimore County including ‘our own’ Brown Memorial Woodbrook Presbyterian and Hunt’s Memorial United Methodist churches.

Call to ACTCion: 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk to Fight Hunger will be held on the scenic Goucher College campus. The course is relatively flat. Prizes are awarded and the fee ($25 over age 18/$20 age 18 and under) includes a race T-shirt. All proceeds benefit ACTC and its mission of providing emergency food for those in need in our local communities. You are invited to join this fun and worthwhile event for all ages by registering at http://calltoactcion.eventbrite.com.

If running or walking is not a preferred activity for you, there are other ways you can participate, including Sponsor a walker/runner with a donation or sponsor the event; provide a donation using ACTC’s Web page Pay Pal at www.actconline.info or at the Call to Action website (above); and, spread the word by tapping into your social media (Facebook or Tweet).
